CBT Device Requirements

Minimum iOS Requirements

BLEACH Mirrors High closed beta on iPhone requires iOS 17 or later and at least 4 GB of system RAM. Bandai Namco distributes the iOS build through Apple TestFlight, meaning you need a compatible iPhone — not an iPad — with an active Apple ID and the TestFlight app installed before accepting your invite.

Apple's A-series and recent chips generally meet performance expectations, but RAM is the hard filter: older iPhones with 3 GB RAM are ineligible even if they run iOS 17. Free storage of at least 4 GB is strongly recommended to accommodate the initial download, OTA patches during the July 22–29 window, and cached shader data.

Cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity is required for initial authentication, gacha pulls, and any online co-op modes enabled during CBT. A stable connection reduces disconnection penalties in action combat sequences shown in official trailers.

Minimum Android Requirements

Android testers need version 12 or higher with a minimum of 6 GB RAM. Bandai Namco enrolls selected players through Google Play beta channels rather than sideloaded APKs — avoid unofficial mirror downloads, which violate beta terms and pose security risks.

Devices from major manufacturers including Samsung, Google Pixel, OnePlus, and Xiaomi commonly qualify when they meet the OS and RAM thresholds. Budget phones with 4 GB RAM are excluded even on Android 14. Storage requirements mirror iOS: plan for 4–6 GB of free space for a smooth install experience.

Google Play Services must be up to date, and developer options like USB debugging do not affect eligibility but sideloading modified APKs can trigger anti-cheat or integrity checks. Emulators and cloud-phone services are not supported for the closed beta.

Smartphones Only — No Tablet Support

Bandai Namco explicitly limits the BLEACH Mirrors High CBT to smartphones. iPads and Android tablets — including large-screen foldables in tablet mode — cannot install the test client even when hardware exceeds phone specifications. This policy helps the team optimize touch controls and UI layouts for standard phone aspect ratios before considering tablet support at launch.

If you only own a tablet, you cannot participate in this CBT wave. Consider borrowing a qualifying phone or waiting for the public launch, when Bandai Namco may broaden device categories. Our Platforms page tracks launch-time compatibility announcements separately from CBT rules.

For applicants deciding which platform to list on the form, choose the phone you will actually use during July 22–29. Switching devices after acceptance may forfeit access if the new hardware falls outside published requirements.

Performance Expectations and Troubleshooting

Mirrors High targets high-fidelity 3D combat with effects-heavy Bankai abilities. Devices at the minimum spec may default to lower graphics presets or reduced frame rates. This is normal for a beta build optimizing performance across thousands of hardware combinations.

If installation fails, verify OS version in settings, clear sufficient storage, update TestFlight or Google Play Store, and restart the device. Rejection emails citing incompatible hardware usually mean RAM or OS thresholds were not met — cross-check your model against our tables before reapplying in a future wave.

Before submitting your CBT application on the How to Apply page, confirm eligibility here to avoid wasting a selection slot. Pair this check with the CBT Schedule timeline so your device is ready before July 22.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the iPhone SE qualify for the CBT?

Only if it runs iOS 17+ and has at least 4 GB RAM. Third-generation SE models may qualify; older SE units with 3 GB RAM do not. Check Settings > General > About for your iOS version and model.

Why is Android RAM higher than iOS?

Bandai Namco set Android at 6 GB RAM versus iOS 4 GB RAM reflecting platform-specific memory management and fragmentation across Android OEM hardware. These are official CBT thresholds, not wiki estimates.

Can I use an emulator on PC?

No. Emulators, cloud gaming phones, and PC clients are unsupported. BLEACH Mirrors High CBT is smartphone-native through TestFlight and Google Play beta only.

Will 5G improve my beta experience?

A stable Wi-Fi or 4G/5G connection helps online modes, but cellular generation is not a requirement. Low latency matters more than peak download speed once the client is installed.

Are Chromebooks supported?

Standard Chromebooks without native Android 12+ Play Store phone profiles are not supported. The game requires a primary smartphone meeting published specs.
